“The world seems reborn in beauty, all the bareness of the winter wood hidden by white”
– Thomas Kinkade
Thomas Kinkade would often ponder what one may find around the corner of any path in his paintings. In commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the release of Thom’s best-selling painting, Deer Creek Cottage, Thomas Kinkade Studios has created Deer Creek Chapel, an interpretation of what may lie around the corner from Thom’s well-loved winter cottage.
Nestled beneath the mountains, highlighted by the rising sun, Deer Creek Chapel is visited by a family of deer reminiscent of Deer Creek Cottage. The morning sunlight glistens off the freshly fallen snow. A delicate fawn peers at the lights glowing from the chapel windows. Deer Creek Chapel captures the beauty of Nature and celebrates the wonder of God’s creations.
- Deer Creek Chapel was created twenty-five years after Thomas Kinkade painted Deer Creek Cottage.
- Winter was one of Thomas Kinkade’s favorite times of the year, and painting the Great Outdoors was dear to his heart. This artwork pays tribute to both, carrying on his tradition of creating moving scenes that highlight the magnificence of Nature and God’s creation.
- The welcoming lights inside this beautiful church hint at the life of the congregation inside, giving thanks for all of God’s blessings.
- A signature Kinkade light post stands outside the chapel.
